Today was our first time splitting up the kids in each of the kindergarten classes - we either stayed in our classroom and was a choice teacher (showing our friends from the other class how to use the different stations) or we were a guest in the different K classroom. Everyone seemed to have fun playing with new friends. Here are some photos from the switch up in Ms. Emily's room!
Thanks to a generous grant from the Vermont Arts Council and the IAA PTO, The Integrated Arts Academy is thrilled to host the Burlington Taiko Group again! Stuart Paton, founder and master teacher led a 10 day residency beginning on Monday, December 5th, and ending on Friday, December 16th. As a resident artist, Stuart worked directly with all students and classes, pre-K through grade 5. Each class learned an individual drumming piece, and the cultural components of taiko related to community. It was a fantastic residency!! We will add more videos next week!
