Nature Treasure Hunt
We are in need of parent volunteers to help both classes on a nature treasure hunt. On Thursday, October 29th we will take both classes to Pomeroy Park on a walking field trip. We hope to have at least 6 parents come with us from 10AM until about 12 PM. We will hide some natural materials in the park and then have each team of kids try to find each of the objects using their power of sight! We Will then collect the natural materials and each class will work together to create a mural with all the found treasure. Please check in with Ms. Maggie or Ms. Emily if you would like to come along for the field trip. We also need help collecting natural materials to scatter around the park. If you could help by bringing in a collection of these asterisks that would be great; acorns, black walnuts, birch bark, chestnuts, rocks, shells, pine cones, milkweed pods, pine needles, small sticks etc. These items would not be returned to you, but instead used in our natural object collage. |
